There are only a few steps to the 3D printing process:
- First, start with a .stl file (from scanning, 3D design, or download)
- Then, import the .stl file into printer software (for the Flashforge Creator you will use the Flashprint program.) In the printer software you can resize the object, change the infill (hollow to solid), add supports and/or rafts. Once you've done this, you export the file for printing. The exported file will no longer be an .stl file, it will now be a .x3g file. This is the file format the printer can read.
- Download the .x3g file to the HD card and plug the card into the printer. It is ready to print.
